Once upon a time, a green dragon flew over the countryside. Spotting an isolated farm at the edge of a forest. He decided to swoop in and devour all the live stock. He landed in the middle of a grassy field next to the farm and began to stalk over to the animal pens. However, as he came to a pile of boulders in the midst of the field, he found himself face to face with an angry looking pig standing firm on top of the rocks.
The pig made no sound. It only stood there, an expression of defiance on its face. The dragon knew that that it could devour the pig in one gulp, and he assumed the pig was aware of that fact as well. The dragon snarled at the pig, expecting it to run off squealing. Yet the pig stood firm.
The dragon shrugged and was about to open its mouth to eat the foolish animal, but then something occurred to it: perhaps the pig was not a fool. Maybe it knew something the dragon didn't The dragon glanced left and right, searching the field and forest beyond...
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
