As you stand in the snow facing the entrance to an old stone building, the heavy wooden door opens. A strange creature lumbers out. It wears dark robes and leans heavily on a staff. It's like no being you've ever seen on Earth. It seems to be a mixture of human, reptile and ape.
Meet Zomiyun, one of the characters encounted in the novella "The Sword from Beyond the Stars." (available on Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BLM15V8) for which I did the cover and 20+ illustrations.
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
