In the American Wild West, three Native American warriors charge down a hill through long golden grass. Wearing war paint and on the backs of powerful horses, they wield tomahawk and spears as they ride forth. The wind blows through the manes and tails of the Indian ponies as they gallop. In the background trees and mountains rise towards the sky where puffy clouds drift. In the foreground, one of the braves pauses to glance in your direction.
From the artist: Though a Western scene, the inspiration for this comes from a French work: “Jockeys in the Train” by Edgar Degas. I like the way the horses formed an arrow to give a sense of directionality. So, I decided to create a scene where the composition formed a point in the direction of the horses gallop.
