A powerful looking pinto coated horse trots over a grass covered hill in the wilderness of the American Wild West. This equine warrior wears Native American war paint and is ready to bravely face any challenge. A spring storm has just passed through and while lightning strikes in the distance and thunder still booms. a strong wind blows through the animal's dark mane and tail.
From the artist: I created this in February of 2023. In the Atlanta area, we had just had a number of rainy days followed by some unseasonably warm weather that had me looking forward to spring. It put me in a mood to create a scene featuring the often unsettled weather we get around here for that season.

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
