The Beast of Bladenboro is a big cat like cryptid responsible for a string of pet and livestock deaths over the winter of 1953-54 near Bladenboro, North Carolina. It was described as large and black, or brown, sometimes sleek, sometimes bushy, bear shaped, maybe panther shaped. Needless to say, many of the descriptions by eye-witnesses were conflicting. One unusual aspect of the sightings was that it was sometimes seen with a cub or offspring of some sort. It made a noise that witnesses described as sounding like a crying baby. It's been also called a vampire cat as some of the dogs that it killed were reportedly drained of blood.
The is my take on another of the cryptids of the southern states of the U.S. For this one I decided to play up the vampire aspect and give it long teeth. Since the decriptions varied so widely, I decided to give it a dark coat that would make it look very different from any normal big cat.
