"Sabre Tooth Pounce"
Kicking up a spray of dirt, a massive smilodon, a mountain of fur and fangs, leaps out of the murky mists of time. With its muscular frame, razor sharp claws, and long curved teeth, this predator is a force to be reckoned with.
This is my latest addition to my paleoart gallery. As always, the saber-toothed cat is one of my favorite ice age beasts, and for this artwork, I wanted to get in a bit closer to the cat and keep the environment rather minimalist.
I created this scene using digital techniques including CGI and digital painting.
