"Blue Eyes and Big Teeth"
A saber-toothed cat stalks through tall grass beneath a cloudy sky. This prehistoric beast looks right at you with a menacing glare. Such a close-up view of this big cat would be terrifying in reality.
It's been a while since I've done some saber tooth paleoart, I felt it was time for a new artwork depicting on of the extict hunters. I've given this one a jaguar like coat of fur and piercing blue eyes. I'm not sure if it is accurate, but it makes for intersting art.
About how I create my artwork:
Rather than traditional forms of art such as painting or photography, I use a computer to create my images. It's called 3D Rendering and works like so: I make a scene by sculpting and arranging digital models in a virtual 3D space. After stipulating lighting and atmospheric effects, I have the computer create a simulated environment from which I take a virtual snap shot of the scene. Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
