Artist's Description
The forest is in flames. Dense, dirty smoke turns the once green woods into a terrible land of nightmare and confusion. You can just make out the outlines of a few trees. Suddenly, from out of the swirling stalks a terrifying monster, the cause of the conflagration around you: a red dragon. With scaly hide and huge wings, the beast turns to you, stretches forth its claws, and bears its huge pointed teeth. Perhaps it is time to turn and run.
From the artist: One of my favorite recurring subjects is the red dragon. A player of Dungeons and Dragons when I was a kid, I always liked how the red dragon was the fire breather with scales the color of flames.

About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
