Artist's Description
My original plan for this artwork was to dominate the image with a cumulus cloudscape with just a hint of landscape at the bottom. I decided that I wanted a sort of rocky trail with just a few plants on either side. However, the trail turned out so nice that I gave the landscape a bit more real-estate in the picture - though I still kept the sky as the predominant feature.
Though I like the purely nature art version of this, I felt it lacked story. After trying a few different objects and characters, I finally settled on this incongruous female character. Outwardly, she appears as a bubbly barefoot hippy, but inside she is a vicious killer. Only her small knife dripping blood onto her leg betrays her true identity.
