Artist's Description

A nude woman sits on a rock on a grassy hilltop and gazes into a chrome ball. In the ball lies her distorted reflection and that of the earth and sky that surround her.

This is one of the very few artworks depicting a nude figure that I've ever published to my gallery. Having painted nudes for years in art school, I generally don't find nudes that interesting of a subject , but I was recently reading an article regarding the human figure in the works of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, one of my favorite artists, and was inspired to a new one a go.

Daniel Eskridge

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
