A small iguana sits on a table between a steaming cup of coffee and a bright red coffee pot. All three things are reflected in the shining wood of the table surface.

This started really as an exercise in rendering surfaces with a lot of reflection. I thought it made for a rather nice artwork, though. So I gave it a few finishing touches and added the lizard to introduce an organic form with a texture that was not reflective.

bout how I create my artwork:

Rather than traditional forms of art such as painting or photography, I use a computer to create my images. It's called 3D Rendering and works like so: I make a scene by sculpting and arranging digital models in a virtual 3D space. After stipulating lighting and atmospheric effects, I have the computer create a simulated environment from which I take a virtual snap shot of the scene. Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience.
