Artist's Description
A cougar and her cub watch you in the forest. The mountain lions look wary of you as the mother holds her baby back with her paw. Both of these cats look intently at you from atop a boulder in a sunlit forest. Be careful, these animals are apex predators and are very dangerous.
I've created several scenes depicting full grown cougars before (also known as mountain lions, pumas, and panthers.), but this is the first time I've ever tried a cub.
I created this using digital art techniques including 3D rendering and digital painting. In fact, I've made this particular scene (without the cats) available in my scene store for digital artists: http://fineartbydaniel.com/summer-forest/

About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
