At the edge of a grassy forest clearing, a twisted, dead oak rests upon a small hill. Erosion has stripped away the side of the small rise, yet the tree still stubbornly tries to hold the earth together with its roots. A dirt path runs alongside the old oak, and, in the golden light of a cloudy autumn afternoon, a buck has wandered by.

This is the thrid in a series of three artworks featuring the deer on a path next to the tree. All three of the images involve a very strong sense of autumn with lots of yellow, orange, and red colors, that is, the golden colors of fall foliage.

About how I create my artwork:

Rather than traditional forms of art such as painting or photography, I use a computer to create my images. It's called 3D Rendering and works like so: I make a scene by sculpting and arranging digital models in a virtual 3D space. Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
