Artist's Description

Acrocanthosaurus was a type of carcharodontosaurid dinosaur that lived during the early Early Cretaceous in what is now North America. It's distinguishing feature is a set of neural spines on its back, and its name actually means "high spined lizard". It was largest theropod of its habitat and was likely the apex predator of North America in an era before T-Rex.

Daniel Eskridge

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
