Description
In this Wild West still life, a poker hand rests on an old wooden table. It consists of five cards: the ace, the king, the queen, the jack and the ten of spades: a royal flush: the best hand in poker. Also on the table are a gunslinger's hat, a six shooter, a few bullets, an empty shot glass, and, finally, as if ready to pay the ferry man, a pair of gold coins.

I created this image using a digital art technique known as 3D rendering which has the computer simulating the effects of light on virtual 3D models. It's a similar process to how movie makers do CGI special effects.
