Artist's Description
A mighty lion stands upon a grassy hill looking over the African savannah.
This impressionist styled artwork is the latest addition to my world wildlife art series.
Though it may look like a hand painted image, I created this art using digital techniques including CGI to render the lion and landscape, digital painting to add details, and filtering (using Topaz Impression) to create the Impressionist look.

About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
