It’s a weekend trip to the forest for camping, a chance to get away from the daily grind. You settled down in your tent last night for a restful night in the great outdoors. The campfire had burned low and everything seemed quiet in nature. So, you drifted off to peaceful sleep. But in the early morning hours, your camp has a visitor. You wake up to a huge grizzly bear sniffing at your feet. That’s when you realize that you forgot to hang your food in a bear bag away from camp. You suddenly start to miss your regular alarm clock of that daily grind.
From the artist: I was teaching a lesson to some scouts about bear bags when I had the idea for this work…a bit of dark camping humor.
