The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
"Sunken"
A sunken pirate ship lies on the seabed in shallow water. As sharks and fish circle the wreck, a giant octopus emerges from a massive hole in the side of the hull to welcome you to his new home in these dangerous waters.
It's always a lot of fun to create these undersea scenes. This particular one was inspired by the fish tank in the office where I work. Though it doesn't have an octopus it has a serpent sea star which sort of resembles one.
To create this image, I used a variety of digital tools including 3D rendering, virtual sculpting and digital painting.

About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
