A black horse emerges from darkeness. It eyes glow red as it gazes upon you. With it comes fear. This dark horse is the Nightmare, the bringer of bad dreams.
The term "nightmare" comes from old English where "mare" was a term for "demeon"; however, I always liked how the artist Henry Fuseli actually dipicted it as a mare, that is, a horse, in his painting "The Nightmare".
This is by far my darkest artwork. I had to turn down the lights to appreciated it fully.

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
