"The Light of Truth" is a complex artwork that portrays a woman, clad in a purple medieval dress with white sleeves and gold trim, standing resolutely on a dark beach. The woman holds up a staff from which dangles a bright lantern on a chain, the warm, glowing light casting a soft halo around her determined figure, as if to emphasize her courage and resilience as she stands unwavering in the face of danger.
In the background, perched on the rocky shoreline, are three formidable rust-colored dragons, their wings spread, as they loom over the lone hero. The dragons snarl and bear their wicked fangs and claws, giving them an air of menace and power.
The nighttime beach is almost lost in the dark and fog, where gentle waves have left a shallow pool where the woman stands. The dark rocks upon which the dragons perch...
About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
