Description

A huntress stands near the cold waters of a creek in a snowy wilderness. She wears a hooded cloak of bear fur to stay warm over a dear skin dress. In one hand she carries a long spear. Next to her stands her companion: a sorrel pinto horse. Behind the pair, a forest of dark fir trees ring a lake that the creek empties into. Overhead, clouds drift in the sky driven by the freezing winds of winter.

From the artist: it was an exceptionally cold day in January and I was in a mood to create a frigid scene. So I created this really cold landscape. I tried a few subjects out, but I really like the way this woman has a sense of mystery with her face mostly obscured by the hood.
