A white wolf stands in long golden grass and looks out over rolling hills at a fiery sunset.

The White Wolf, also known as the arctic wolf or Melville Island wolf is likely a subspecies of gray wolf that lives in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. It's slightly smaller than the gray wolf.

I've been trying to create an image featuring a wolf with white fur for some time now. After throwing out about a dozen works in progress, I finally managed to create one that I was happy with.

To create this image, I used a variety of digital art techniques including 3d rendering, digital painting, and color enhancement.
