Artist's Description

A woman in an aqua colored dress revel has found the perfect spot for whale watching. Under the pink evening skies, she stands on dark brown rocks surrounded by deep water, deep enough for a humpback whale to swim up from and breach. As the whale sends sea spray in every direction, the whale watcher revels in the great splash resulting from the great breaching beast as it arches over her.

I was in the mood to create another aquatic image, but this time I wanted a scene above surface of the water with rocks and lots of splashing...not a gentle sea scape, but a tumultuous artwork full of energy, chaos, and noise. So, whale art was what I decided would do the trick. In this case I made its skin very reflective, more so than would be real, I just thought it looked cool.
