Three mustangs stand in a misty forest of the American West. The trio, a pinto, a roan and a white horse seem to be searching the woods for something. It's early in the day and rays the morning sun shine down through the tree canopy. The ground around the animals' hooves is a carpet of green undergrowth.
This forest scene is actually something I initially designed for a fantasy scene featuring a flute playing Pan. I thought, however, that the wide format called for something more, so I decided to try out adding a few horses. I rather liked the result.

Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
