The Wolves of Autumn Poster

You're spending a peaceful fall afternoon fishing at you favorite pond, but then you hear a sound and look up. On the opposite shore, three wolves have appeared from the forest. The leader of the pack looks straight at you while the other two animals scan the woods in the area. They are not growling, but you still feel a bit uneasy. If you don't move, perhaps these wild predators will leave you in peace.


2018 has been my year to work on a lot of wolf themed art this year. For this one, I was definitely in a fall mood (it being near the end of October) I was going for a peaceful autumn scene, but with a hint of a fear. So, the wolves don't look immediately threatening, but I made them large in the scene to dominate the composition and inspire an uneasy mood.
