Description
In this Weird West scene, you find yourself face to face with a terrifying figure on a cold overcast winter day. Dressed in tattered black robes and masked in the skull of a deer, this nightmare shaman stares at you from atop a pile of snow covered boulders. He carries a curved staff from which hangs a human skull. It's then that you notice his clawed hands and greenish skin. Is this a man or a monster. Meet the Wendigo.
I've created a few scenes featuring the Wendigo. Usually, they are more obviously a creature. For this one though I wanted to make it seem possible that the Wendigo was a human as the legends sometime consider the Wendigo a monster and at other times a possessed human.
I originally crafted this particular character for a larger scene: "The Howling of the Wind" (https://daniel-eskridge.pixels.com/featured/the-howling-of-the-wind-daniel-eskridge.html), but I liked him so much I created a scene just featuring him.
Thanks for looking!
