In this impressionist styled fairy tale illustration, Beauty and the Beast read together in an enchanted forest.

From the artist: My take on the classical story of "Beauty and the Beast", this was perhaps inspired a bit by literacy posters that my teachers would put up in school when I was growing up. Between the woman's face, her dress, and the beast's fur, this was my most challenging work to date made using traditional art materials.

The original is an 18"x24" work on archival quality sanded paper made using Sennelier oil pastels and Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils.
