The Ozark Howler is a creature of Arkansas legend and folklore. Said to inhabit the Ozarks in the northern part of the state, it is described as being bear-like, dog-like or cat-like with a shaggy grey or black coat, red eyes, and, sometimes, horns. All accounts agree that it has a terrible cry. Most sightings are modern day, but a few go back to the 1800's.
After publishing a number of cryptids, I started getting requests for this one. I had a lot of fun making this guy to look super creepy.
