The Mothman is a cryptid who witnesses describe as being bird like with glowing red eyes. This legendary creature of folklore was reported in West Virginia in the late 60's near Point Pleasant, a town located at the confluence of the Kanawha and Ohio Rivers. It's though that the creature may live in an abandoned munitions plant, and was somehow responsible for (or at least, involved) in the collapse the Silver Bridge in 1967 which resulted in the deaths of 46 people. Skeptics claim that the Mothman was just a Sandhill crane or owl.
Despite his name, all accounts of the Mothman said he appeared more like a bird rather than a moth, so i kept his wings feathers but shaped them a little bit like a moths folded wings too. Initially I had him in a forest, but I felt that being surrounded by trees made for too bright of a scene. I wanted him to look scarier so I put him in a foggy, smoky setting.
