A group of mallards waddles together. In the middle of them is one solidary drake. He glances at the camera from among the females with what looks like a smile. Perhaps he is one lucky mallard ;)
I was inspired to make this while watching a duck race. In the race, all of the ducks were female, and I took note of how they all waddled in a tight group in the same direction. I thought it might be fun to stick a male in the middle of the flock.
To create this image, I used a variety of digital techniques including 3D Rendering, digital painting and a bit of photo manipulation.
