Artist's Description
A woman in a medieval-style green dress holds a lantern while guiding a white horse through a dense forest. She looks to her side with a serene expression, her hand gently resting on the horse's bridle.
From the artist: I wanted to give a sense in this work that the horse had been lost in the woods and that the woman leading it out was more of a ghost or angel come to its rescue. To that end, I made the woman back-lit in such a way to give her an ethereal quality.
The original was created this using Sennelier Oil pastels and Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils on archival quality sanded paper.
