Artist's Description
On an overcast day in the wilderness of the American west, a lone horse makes its way over a snow covered hill. This strawberry roan hears you approach and glances back at you as the winter winds blow through its dark mane and tail. Behind it, a forest of spruce trees descends into a misty valley.
I had a request for this particular coat. I was not particularly familiar with it, and had to look it up. It describes a type of chestnut or sorrel roan but with a bit of a pinker cast. I rather like the way it stands in contrast to the snow.

About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
