Artist's Description

A proud looking paint horse trots over a grassy hill in the American Wild West. This pinto coated mustang wears Native American war paint and has eagle feathers attached to its dark mane.  This western warrior stares in your direction with a look of defiance as if to challenge you to mastery over the grassy plains.I'm revisiting one of my favorite horse coats for this one. I really like the pinto coat. I've also used this pose before in a few other workds, I really like the attitude it gives the animal. The meanings behind the markings:Lines on its face represent victories in battle. For keen senses, it has the sun painted around its eye and circles around its nostrils.Because it has pushed a person over, the horse has hand prints on its chest. The blue circles are hail to rain down upon enemies. The arrow on its neck is a sign of victory. The handprint on it hindquarters means it has accomplished a mission.A symbol for a snake is on its hind leg, and above that blue horses for captured...

About Daniel Eskridge

Daniel Eskridge

I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons and a daughter. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK...
