A sperm whale swims out of the murky depths of the ocean and towards the viewer. Rays of light cut through the water and illuminate the skin of this mighty aquatic giant. This massive creature is a true king of the sea.
This artwork is the latest in my aquatic sea life series. I made this one in particular for one of my videos that walks viewers through every step of the creations. You can check out my youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/danieleskridge.
To create this image I used digital techniques. The whale was sculpted and painted using virtual sculpting and modeling software. A 3D rendering program was used to generate the full scene, and a digital painting application was used to touch ups and color corrections.
