"Red-Tailed Hawk"

A red-tailed hawk spreads it's wings as it perches on a branch in the forest.

Recently, I started a new job where I work from home. Now that I'm no longer in an office building, I can open the windows while I work. Since it has been an unusually warm December, I hear lots of birds outside. Among them is a red-tailed hawk that lives in one of the trees in my yard. After listening to him all day for a week, I decided it was time to do a portrait.

I created this image using CGI applications as well digital painting and sculpting techniques.
