Artist's Description

"Powers Island Bridge"

One of the reasons I love living in the Metro Atlanta area is the abundance of hiking trails one can find, especially along the Chattahoochee river. One summer morning I decided to try out the trail at Powers Island. The trail is located in Sandy Springs just north of Atlanta. This particular image is of the foot bridge to the island itself which is used by hikers as well as kayakers and canoers to get to the launching point just on the other side of the tiny island.

I used digital techniques to turn this into an impressionist image as I wanted this to look like a painting.

Thanks for looking,
