For the next entry in my platypus art series: A pair of platypuses (or is that platypii?) sit on a large stone in a gently flowing rocky river that cuts through a steamy forest. These Australian critters are on the lookout for any hazardous creatures in the water. I've heard that it is possible that the occasional platypus gets eaten by a crocodile, but there is no direct evidence of crocs eating them.
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
