A Palomino coated horse stand on hill covered in long golden grass. In the distance, behind the animal, a few spruce trees rise into the moody sky. Dark clouds have rolled in portending some nasty weather as the wind picks up and blows through the mare's mane and tail.
When it comes to horse coats, Palominos is my second most requested behind Appaloosas; however, I had not made very many artworks featuring them. So, I decided to add a few to my horse themed are collection. This was actually the first work I started which featured a Palomino; though, I finished "Palomino Horse in the Winter Wilderness" before I finished this one, making this my second artwork to feature one. For this work, I made the horse's mane and tail a bit brighter than might be natural. This was just to really make the horse stand out against the dark moody sky in the background. Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
