Description
A Pallas’s Cat hangs out in a tree and looks at you with big eyes.
A Pallas's cat, also known as the manul (Otocolobus manul), is a small wildcat native to the cold, arid regions of Central Asia, including Mongolia, Tibet, and parts of Russia and Iran. Despite its squat, rounded appearance, it’s not a domestic cat—it’s a fierce little predator adapted to life on rocky steppes and grasslands.
From the artist: A popular subject in my household is funny cat videos. One such video popped up featuring a Pallas’s cat, which has shorter legs than most cat and was very fun to watch. I almost immediately decided to draw one.
The original work is a 9”12” oil pastel on sanded paper.
