Artist's Description
"Lupine Sunrise"
A gray wolf stands in long golden grass watching the sunrise. Suddenly he hears a noise. It's you trying to sneak up on him for a better look. He looks back at you with a curious expression.
One of the fun things about having a wolf as a subject is that they are are rather versatile subject for painting and art. They can appear in dark and menacing as well as bright and peaceful ones. The last work I published feature wolves had a pack of them looking rather threatening. So for this one, I decided to balance things out and go for a peaceful scene.
To create this image, I used an array of digital art software packages including 3D Rendering and Digital painting applications.

About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
