Description

This is an impressionist image of the battlefield at the base of Kennesaw mountain in northern Georgia. It was the site of a civil war battle between the Union forces led by William T. Sherman against the confederate forces led by Joseph E. Johnston.

Today it is a park where recreations are often held. There is also some great hiking trails in the area.

This image is based off of a photo that I took while hiking there on a spring afternoon as storm clouds were beginning to roll in. Using a host of digital painting techniques, I've made this into an impressionist styled image.
