This is an impressionist image of Allatoona Falls, a set of falls only accessible by boat that empties into Lake Allatoona in Georgia to the North of Atlanta. A single figure standing at the top of the falls gives a sense of the scale.
I took a photo of this waterfall on a kayak trip one summer day. It was a fun adventure as the falls are a bit hidden and surrounded by private property. So, they can only be approached by water. I decided to apply some digital magic to the image to turn this into a more artistic impressionist styled image.

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
