This is a digitally enhanced photo of Lake Allatoona that has been made to look like an impressionist painting. The lake is in North Georgia near the towns of Acworth, Cartersville, and Woodstock. I took this shot from a picnic area in Red Top Mountain state park on a bright spring morning with rain clouds giving way to clearer skies.
About Daniel Eskridge

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
