Grullo Framed Print

A wild grullo dun coated horse, with a dark mane and tail, stands on grassy hill in the wilderness of the American West.  Thick clouds are building in the sky but the late afternoon sun still shines on this free animal.

Grullo is  particular coloration of horse, a grayish tan, often with a hint of striping.  They are also known as grulla, blue dun, gray dun or mouse dun.

I originally put this image together as part of my mythology series as the bottom half of my female centaur (https://daniel-eskridge.pixels.com/featured/centauride-daniel-eskridge.html), but I liked the scene so much that I made a second version a just a realistic horse.
