A buckskin horse gallops over the grass and wildflower covered hills of the prairie of the American Wild West. It's destination is a small cabin on the horizon. This horse is going home and judging by the bright lights in the windows, someone will be there to greet him. Overhead pink clouds fill an evening sky.
From the artist: for this work, I wanted to make the horse look like it was so excited to get home that it was almost flying. So I placed only one hoof on the ground and angled the hill to make the ground drop away from him. I also put the horizon very low to allow the sky to take over the composition.

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
