Artist's Description
A young woman, left alone on the plains by the death of her husband, is out feeding her pig on her family farm. Even the pig looks up from its muddy pen and gazes towards the approaching figure. The widow draws her gun, ready to let her colt revolver send a greeting to the ominous stranger.
