Florida Panther
A panther stands by a shallow pond gazing out over the water. Behind it lies a forest of cypress trees and long marsh grasses typical of the southern Florida wilderness.
The Florida panther is considered a sub species of the North American Cougar, also known as a puma or mountain lion. It lives exclusively in Southern Florida in forests as well as wetlands such as the Everglades.
Big cats are one of my favorite wildlife themes. I'm especially fond of mountain lions as they are the largest of the American cats.
To create this image, I used digital art techniques including digital rendering as well as digital painting.
Thanks for looking!
