"Facing the Mammoths"
In a prehistoric wilderness, a woman stands facing the massive Gods of Winter. Three great woolly mammoths emerge from the cold Pleistocene mists. The woman, dressed in white fur and animal skins stands resolute, holding her spear easily at her side as not to threaten the mighty animals that approach her, yet not backing down.
To create this artwork, I used 3D Digital rendering and digital painting skills.
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums.
