Dog Walkers It's early autumn in the city and leaves are beginning to litter the sidewalk in front of the Autumn Blend Cafe. The smell of roasting coffee fills the air and faint music can be heard from the live band playing inside. In front of this urban coffee shop, a woman wearing a blue skirt and blouse walks her boxer. The dog has seen something off frame and is pulling it's leash tight in that direction. Meanwhile, a man has seen the woman in blue and pulls tight against his girlfriend's grip in the direction of the dog walker. I've always been a fan of Norman Rockwell, particularly his humorous works. So, every once in a while, I get to deviate from my usual themes and create a work like this one. I actually put this cafe set together several years ago and have used it in various works. One of my favorite ways to kick off the fall (though here in Atlanta early September is still really very much summer) is to create a new work featuring this coffee shop. Thanks fo...
I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons and a daughter. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK...

Hi Daniel, This is simply wonderful. I did think of Rockwell when I saw it ...and then I read your description! You are the man and I may well be your biggest fan. Your attention to details knows no bounds, the leaves all about, the stone walls, reflections in the window...and then telling a story that triggers the imagination...Well done.. FAV!
