The dimetrodon has always been one of my favorite prehistoric animals, ever since I first saw it watching the second season of Land of the Lost as a child. Though, of course, I that one was especially cool because it breathed fire :D.
The real dimetrodon was a synapsid, a prehistoric reptile that was more closely related to modern day mammals that dinosaurs. Its most notable feature is the sail on its back.

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
